How were these numbers calculated?

We used NYC Open Data’s Motor Vehicle Collisions datasets — Crashes (h9gi-nx95), Persons (f55k-p6yu), and Vehicles (bm4k-52h4) — filtered to crashes occurring between 2022-01-01 and 2025-09-18 within Assembly District 34. We assigned crashes to the district by geocoding and spatially joining crash coordinates to the AD 34 boundary. Counts by mode (people walking, biking, and occupants) and by hour and intersection come from the same records. Data was extracted on Sep 17, 2025.
