Police found the teen unresponsive in the street with head trauma, according to the New York Post. First responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

The New York Post reported that James Madison High School is located at the intersection, while public schools were closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A Department of Education spokesman told the Post that no DOE buses were running that day.
