Police said the 57-year-old driver was traveling east in the middle lane of the Grand Central Parkway when he hit the pedestrian late Sunday night. The official record places the crash at 10:48 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2022; news reports rounded the time to about 10:50 p.m.
The sedan carried three people
The driver was in a 2015 Toyota Camry. The official vehicle record lists three occupants and damage to the right front bumper and right front quarter panel.
Near the Long Island Expressway
The crash happened on the Grand Central Parkway near Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. QNS placed it near Exit 10 of the Long Island Expressway.
