Police accounts reported by CBS News and Norwood News said a 15-year-old girl and a 32-year-old woman in the back seat were hospitalized in stable condition. The occupants of the Lincoln and truck were not injured, the reports said.
Rescue and investigation kept the roadway closed.
Norwood News reported that FDNY crews carried out a prolonged rescue of people trapped in the Mitsubishi. The westbound roadway remained closed for nearly five hours while police investigated and crews cleared the scene. The NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad was continuing its investigation when the report was published.
