Unlicensed young driver slams dump truck on Belt Parkway

A 20‑year‑old unlicensed driver changing lanes on Belt Parkway hit the back of a dump truck overnight. She died at the scene. Three passengers and the truck driver suffered back and head injuries in the high‑speed chaos.

What We Know

According to the police report, a 20‑year‑old unlicensed woman driving a 2012 Infiniti sedan west on Belt Parkway changed lanes and hit the rear of a Ford dump truck. Police recorded unsafe speed as a contributing factor. The unlicensed driver died from head injuries. Three sedan passengers, ages 16, 20 and 50, and the 50‑year‑old licensed truck driver reported back or head injuries.
