The Daily News, citing police, reported that Thomas Hardy was speeding down Utopia Parkway about 12:30 a.m. when he lost control of his Honda CBR650R near Jewel Avenue. After a crash at a brick fence, he was thrown into a nearby residential yard.

Thomas Hardy died after medics took him to a hospital

Hardy was 28 and lived in St. Albans, according to police cited by the Daily News. Medics took him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens, where he died. The city record lists him as the motorcycle driver and the only person killed in the crash.
