Andy Eduardo Gil was headed between work and a photo shoot

The Daily News identified the victim as Andy Eduardo Gil, 21, the son of Mexican immigrants. His father said Gil worked at a hotel and pursued photography and graphic design, and that he was headed to a scheduled photo shoot when he was killed.

His mother, Augustina Cano, told the Daily News that her son had wanted to buy his parents a home and said, “My son needs justice.”
