Pickup driver hits man on Coney boardwalk
A pickup driver rolled north on Riegelman Boardwalk West and hit a 47-year-old man near Stillwell Avenue. His head and body took the force. He died there in the dark while the truck showed no damage.

A 47-year-old man walking on Riegelman Boardwalk West near Stillwell Avenue died overnight after a pickup driver heading north hit him. According to the police report, the front left side of the Ford truck caused head and crush injuries that were fatal at the scene. The crash happened after dark on a clear summer night. The driver, a 46-year-old man, held a valid license.
