According to the police report, a 28-year-old man drove a Honda sedan south on Rockaway Boulevard late Sunday night when he crashed while traveling at unsafe speed. Police recorded alcohol involvement. The impact killed a 26-year-old woman riding in the right rear seat with fatal chest injuries and injured the driver and a front passenger, both with chest trauma.
