Driver Fails To Yield, Kills 77-Year-Old In Crosswalk
A Chevy SUV driver turned left off Roosevelt and failed to yield. He hit a 77-year-old man crossing with the signal and crushed his head. The man died on the pavement while afternoon traffic kept moving.

A 77-year-old man was killed at Roosevelt Avenue and 114th Street in Queens. According to the police report, he was crossing with the signal when a southbound Chevy SUV driver, turning left, hit him and caused fatal head injuries. Police recorded failure to yield the right of way and driver inattention or distraction. The driver, a 46-year-old man, was licensed and stayed at the scene.
