Truck Driver's Turn Kills E-Bike Rider in East New York
A 52-year-old truck driver turning right at Pennsylvania Avenue and Linden Boulevard fatally hit 43-year-old e-bike rider Jarrod Little, according to city records and police accounts reported by amNY and the Daily News.

On Aug. 30, 2022, a driver in a tractor-trailer and Jarrod Little, who was riding an e-bike, were both traveling south on Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York when the driver turned right onto Linden Boulevard. Police told reporters the driver hit Little during the turn; a Daily News witness account placed Little in the crosswalk. Paramedics took Little to Brookdale Hospital, where he died. The driver, a 52-year-old man, stayed at the scene, and police reported no immediate arrest or charge. The fatal turn
City crash records place the crash at 4:25 p.m. on Aug. 30, 2022, at Pennsylvania Avenue and Linden Boulevard in Brooklyn. The official record lists a tractor-truck diesel and an e-bike, both traveling south; the truck driver was making a right turn, while the e-bike rider was going straight.
Police told amNY that the driver turned off southbound Pennsylvania Avenue onto Linden Boulevard and hit Jarrod Little, who was riding an electric folding bike. A Daily News witness said Little was in the crosswalk when the driver hit him.
Jarrod Little's family described a life rooted in Brooklyn music
Little's parents told the Daily News he had lived in their Ocean Hill home since 1990 and had started a company promoting local hip-hop and R&B artists. His mother, Jenice Little, said he regularly rode his battery-powered bicycle.
The official record and later press accounts identified Little as 43. An initial Daily News story described the bicyclist as 44 before his name was released.
A dangerous corridor in eastern Brooklyn

amNY reported that both Linden Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue had been classified by the city Department of Transportation as Vision Zero priority corridors, a designation for streets with high rates of pedestrian deaths and severe injuries.
The driver stayed, and police reported no immediate arrest
Paramedics took Little to Brookdale Hospital, where he died. The Daily News and amNY reported that the 52-year-old driver stayed at the scene; police told reporters there was no immediate arrest or charge.
