What We Know

A 72-year-old man driving a 2009 BMW east on Queens Midtown Expressway near 69th Street hit the rear of a stopped 2022 KIA sedan in the same lane of traffic. According to the police report, the BMW driver lost consciousness before impact and died at the scene. The KIA driver, a 27-year-old man, was recorded as the only other occupant and was not listed with serious injuries.
