Queens SUV driver falls asleep, dies alone
A 33-year-old driver on South Conduit Avenue fell asleep in his 2021 Nissan SUV and hit hard. He died belted in with a fractured arm, on a fast arterial built to punish one tired mistake.

According to the police report, a 33-year-old man driving a 2021 Nissan SUV east on South Conduit Avenue at 150th Street in Queens fell asleep at the wheel on a morning weekend arterial. The driver, alone in the vehicle, hit hard with the center front end and was killed. He was belted in and sustained a fracture to his lower arm. Police recorded “Fell Asleep” as the contributing factor.
