Speeding BMW driver ejects teen riders

A 20-year-old BMW driver tore down the Long Island Expressway and, at unsafe speed, crashed hard. Two 18-year-old women in the back were thrown from the car; one died on the road, the other suffered serious fractures while the young driver lay unconscious.

According to the police report, a 20-year-old man driving a BMW west on the Long Island Expressway crashed while speeding overnight. Police recorded unsafe speed by the driver. Two 18-year-old women riding in the rear seats were ejected; one died and the other suffered serious abdominal and pelvic fractures. The driver, who held a permit, was found unconscious with head injuries.
