Driver Fails to Yield, Kills E‑Bike Rider

A driver going east on West 24th hit a 38-year-old man on an e-bike and threw him into a parked SUV. Police recorded failure to yield. The rider died in the street overnight.

According to the police report, A 38-year-old man riding an e-bike east on West 24th Street in Manhattan died after a collision with a sedan early on a Sunday . The driver was also traveling east when he hit the rider, sending him into a parked SUV. The e-bike rider was ejected and died at the scene. Police recorded failure to yield right-of-way as a contributing factor.
