Driver Runs Light, Kills 72-Year-Old on 168th
A driver in an Audi SUV blew a traffic control on East 168th Street and hit a 72-year-old man emerging from behind a parked car. His shoulder and arm fractured. He died there in the Bronx street.

A 72-year-old man walking on East 168th Street in the Bronx was killed when an eastbound Audi SUV driver hit him on Dec. 20, 2022. According to the police report, the pedestrian emerged from behind a parked vehicle midblock. Police recorded “Traffic Control Disregarded” and “Unsafe Speed” as contributing factors. The man suffered fatal fractures and dislocation to his upper arm and shoulder and was pronounced dead at the scene.
