Speeding teen driver kills two friends
A 19-year-old BMW driver tore down Belt Parkway and crashed. Two teenage passengers, 16 and 18, never made it home. Unsafe speed turned a late-night ride into a dead end.
What We Know
Two teenage passengers died late Sunday night on Belt Parkway in Queens. According to the police report, a 19-year-old driver headed east in a BMW sedan at unsafe speed and crashed, demolishing the front of the car. A 16-year-old rear passenger was ejected and killed. An 18-year-old front passenger also died from head injuries. Police recorded unsafe speed as the contributing factor on a high-speed arterial road at night.
