E-Bike Rider Slams SUV, Dies on Avenue R
A 35-year-old e-bike rider hit the side of an SUV on Avenue R near Nostrand and died in the street. Four people riding in the SUV lived and walked away from the Friday night crash.

According to the police report, a 35-year-old man riding an e-bike east on Avenue R hit the left side of a northbound SUV near Nostrand Avenue on a Friday night in Brooklyn. The rider was ejected and killed, with injuries recorded to his entire body. Four people riding in the SUV, including the driver, were not reported injured. The e-bike rider did not have a valid driver’s license, though officers did not list this as a contributing factor.
