A 35-year-old unlicensed driver sped west on Belt Parkway and crashed into another car. He and a 29-year-old woman riding in back were thrown from the Dodge and died from head injuries on the road, overnight in the rain.

According to the police report, around 3:39 a.m. on Belt Parkway in Queens, an unlicensed 35-year-old man driving a Dodge sedan west at unsafe speed crashed into a westbound Mazda SUV. The impact demolished the sedan and ejected the driver and a 29-year-old woman riding in the rear seat. Both sustained head injuries and died. Police recorded unsafe speed as a contributing factor and noted rainy conditions overnight.
