Two teenage passengers died.
NY1 identified the passengers who died as Bronx residents Daniel Duran, 15, and Daniel Rodriguez, 17, and reported that they were pronounced dead at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The official record lists fatalities aged 15 and 17 and identifies both as rear-seat passengers.
The official record counts four people injured. NY1 reported that the 16-year-old Hyundai driver was first in critical condition and later stable, two other 15-year-old passengers were in critical condition, and the 53-year-old Jeep driver had minor injuries.

NY1 described the teen's car as a Hyundai, and Gothamist identified it as a 2019 Hyundai Elantra; the official record classifies the northbound vehicle as a 2019 sedan. Reports called the other moving vehicle a Jeep. The official record classifies it as a 2011 station wagon/SUV, while Gothamist identified it as a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

NY1 said the teen-driven Hyundai collided with the Jeep, then hit a parked Jeep and overturned. The Daily News also reported that the Hyundai hit a parked car and overturned. Gothamist described a different first impact: the Jeep struck the Hyundai as it crossed the intersection, after which the Hyundai hit a parked Jeep and overturned. FOX 5 instead reported that the Jeep overturned. Audacy said the Hyundai flipped onto its side before impacts with two SUVs.

NY1 reported on July 12 that police had arrested the 16-year-old the previous day. Charges included manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, assault, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment.
