Unlicensed rider killed hitting U‑turn SUV

A 35-year-old unlicensed motorcyclist hit a U-turning SUV on Jerome Avenue on a summer Saturday afternoon. He was thrown from the bike and died from severe head injuries in the street.

What We Know

According to the police report, a 35-year-old man riding a motorcycle south on Jerome Avenue hit the right front of a southbound SUV as its driver made a U-turn on a weekend afternoon. The unlicensed rider was ejected, suffered fatal head and crush injuries, and died at the scene. Police recorded unsafe speed and turning improperly as contributing factors. A parked SUV was also damaged, and no other injuries were listed.
