News reports identified the woman who died as Priscilla Loke, 69, a Lower East Side resident. The Daily News reported that friends and colleagues remembered her as a beloved teacher who connected with students across four decades.
Police sought the rider after Loke died
Police told amNY that Loke suffered severe head injuries, was taken by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, and died two days later. The rider left the scene, and police later released images and video while asking the public for tips.
