SUV driver hit Queens e-bike rider
A Kia SUV driver hit a 58-year-old e-bike rider at Pitkin Avenue and 95th Street in the evening dark. The rider was thrown and died of severe head injuries.
What We Know
A 58-year-old man riding an e-bike died after a collision with a 2021 Kia SUV at Pitkin Avenue and 95th Street in Queens on the evening of Sept. 20, 2023. According to the police report, both the rider and the SUV driver were traveling straight before the impact. The crash threw the rider from the e-bike and caused fatal head injuries. Police listed “Traffic Control Disregarded” as a contributing factor in the crash.
