Kleinman was remembered as a neighborhood volunteer

The Daily News reported that Kleinman lived steps from the crash site and had volunteered as treasurer of Jefferson Market Garden for a decade. Her wife, Robin Felsher, called her a “gentle force of nature” and said Kleinman also served as treasurer of her co-op board.

Felsher told the Daily News she came downstairs after a call from the building doorman and found Kleinman lying in Greenwich Avenue. She said FDNY members from a nearby station wrapped Kleinman’s head before EMS arrived, and she rode with Kleinman to Bellevue Hospital.
