Unlicensed Vespa Rider Dies on Henry Hudson
A 46-year-old unlicensed Vespa rider crashed on Henry Hudson Parkway before dawn. Thrown from the moped, he took the blow to the head and died alone in the dark. No other driver was there to hit him or help him.
What We Know
A 46-year-old man died while riding a Vespa southbound on Henry Hudson Parkway around 2:28 a.m. According to the police report, he rode unlicensed and without a helmet, hit the right front of the moped, and was ejected. He suffered crush injuries to his head and was pronounced dead. No other vehicles or people were listed in the crash report.
