A 68-year-old woman was killed crossing Jamaica Avenue near 215th Street in Queens just before 6 a.m. on December 22. According to the police report, a westbound BMW SUV driver hit her head-on as she crossed outside a crosswalk on the arterial road. The impact caused fatal injuries to her entire body. Police listed the driver as licensed and recorded no specific contributing factor in the crash.
