Driver Hits Man on Cross Bronx, Drives Off
Just after midnight on the Cross Bronx, a driver in a 2005 Chrysler hit a 36-year-old man crossing the road. The driver kept going. The man’s body suffered crush injuries and he died there in the dark.

A 36-year-old man was killed while crossing the Cross Bronx Extension just after 12:30 a.m. According to the police report, a male driver going straight in a 2005 Chrysler sedan hit him head-on and left the scene. The pedestrian, who was not at an intersection, sustained crush injuries to his entire body and died at the location on an overnight Sunday.
