Driver Turns Right, Kills Woman in Crosswalk
A driver in a GMC SUV turned right at Nostrand and Beverley and hit a 45-year-old woman crossing with the signal. Police say the driver failed to yield. She suffered head trauma and fractures and died there in the Sunday afternoon light.

According to the police report, around 1:58 p.m. a male driver in a 2017 GMC SUV turned right from Beverley Road onto Nostrand Avenue and hit a 45-year-old woman who was crossing in the crosswalk with the signal. Police recorded failure to yield right-of-way. The impact to her head caused severe trauma and fractures. She was semiconscious, then unresponsive, and was later pronounced dead. Four people were in the SUV.
