Unlicensed Rider Slams Motorcycle Into Ambulance, Dies
A 23-year-old unlicensed rider hit the side of an ambulance on Eastchester Road near Pelham Parkway. Police say his motorcycle struck the doors, his helmet cracked, and he died of head and crush injuries at the scene.

According to the police report, a 23-year-old man riding an unlicensed motorcycle west on Eastchester Road hit the right side doors of a northbound ambulance near Pelham Parkway around 6:55 p.m. The rider wore a helmet that cracked on impact and suffered fatal head and crush injuries, dying at the scene. Police listed “Passing or Lane Usage Improper” as a contributing factor. No injuries to people in the ambulance were reported.
