SUV Driver Listed At Fault In Deadly Moped Crash
A 22-year-old moped rider hit the back of a stopped SUV on 18th Avenue before dawn and died in the street. Police still recorded failure to yield by the SUV driver.
What We Know
According to the police report, a 22-year-old man riding a moped south on 18th Avenue near 55th Street hit the rear of a stationary SUV around 3:20 a.m. in Brooklyn. The rider was ejected and sustained fatal head injuries. The SUV had two occupants and was stopped in traffic. Police recorded failure to yield right-of-way by the SUV driver as the contributing factor.
