In May, police arrested and charged Marck Urena Fernandez, 25, in connection with the hit-and-run, News 12 reported.

CBS described the collision as happening near East 164th Street just before 5:30 a.m.; News 12 reported an incident at East 163rd Street around 5:20 a.m. ABC7 said the woman was found near East 163rd Street just before 5:30 a.m.
Her family remembered her generosity.
Her family told CBS that Alcantara, 75, was a native of the Dominican Republic and was on her way to a maintenance job in Manhattan, just feet from home. She had four sons, three daughters, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and had lived in her daughter's apartment for two months, the report said.
Her grandson Fernando Rodriguez said, "She raised me, my sisters, all my family. She was there for everybody." CBS reported that she was remembered as a hard worker with a positive attitude.
Police later arrested and charged a man.
News 12 reported in May that police arrested Marck Urena Fernandez, 25, and charged him with second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and reckless driving.
CBS reported that candles and photographs were displayed in Alcantara's apartment building and that neighbor Kathy Chiriguaya wanted to collect funds to help the family.
