A 24-year-old unlicensed e-bike rider turned left on Neptune Avenue and a BMW driver hit him head-on. He died from crush injuries to his head on the street where he fell.

What We Know

According to the police report, a 24-year-old man riding an e-bike on Neptune Avenue near Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn died after a BMW SUV driver traveling straight hit him head-on as he made a left turn. Police recorded “Turning Improperly” for the e-bike rider and noted he was unlicensed. The rider was ejected and sustained crush injuries to his head and was pronounced dead.
