A tire blew out on East 2nd near Avenue C late Sunday. The driver, a 29-year-old woman, veered into a parked Hyundai and died alone in the night, her car the only one in motion on the block.
What We Know
According to the police report, just before midnight on a Sunday, a 29-year-old woman driving a 2012 Acura west on East 2nd Street near Avenue C experienced a tire failure. The driver lost control and hit an unoccupied, parked 2017 Hyundai sedan. She was the only person in the car and was killed in the crash on the arterial street.
