Truck Driver Fails To Yield, Kills 28-Year-Old E-Biker
A box-truck driver turned right off Greenpoint Avenue and hit a 28-year-old woman riding her e-bike straight on 43rd Street. Police recorded failure to yield and driver distraction. She was thrown, suffered a shattered hip, and died in the street.

According to the police report, a man driving a box truck east on Greenpoint Avenue turned right at 43rd Street and hit a 28-year-old woman riding an e-bike straight through the intersection. The impact ejected her and caused a severe hip fracture and other fatal injuries. Police recorded failure to yield right-of-way and driver inattention or distraction as contributing factors. She was pronounced dead at the scene late Thursday morning in Queens.
