According to the police report, three westbound SUVs slowed on the Long Island Expressway when one driver hit the vehicles ahead, creating a chain-reaction crash. A 41-year-old man riding in the right rear seat of the middle SUV suffered fatal head crush injuries and was recorded as unconscious.
