According to the police report, a taxi driver making a right turn from West 42nd Street at Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan hit a 24-year-old motorcycle rider who was traveling straight ahead. Police recorded traffic control disregarded as a contributing factor. The rider was ejected, suffered fatal head crush injuries and was pronounced dead. The motorcycle was demolished in the nighttime crash.
