Motorcycle Rider Slams SUV, Both Killed

A BMW motorcycle rider hit the side of a Toyota SUV at East 106th Street and 3rd Avenue. The 30-year-old rider and his 35-year-old passenger were thrown, suffered head and crush injuries, and died. The SUV driver was injured.

What We Know

According to the police report, around 4:43 a.m. at East 106th Street and 3rd Avenue, a BMW motorcycle traveling north hit the left side doors of a westbound Toyota SUV. The 30-year-old rider and his 35-year-old passenger were ejected and died from head and crush injuries. Both had been wearing helmets. The SUV’s 30-year-old driver reported whiplash injuries.
