Driver Dies After Bronx Thruway Crash With Parked Tractor-Trailer
A 40-year-old driver, Edwin Seixas, died after police said he collided with an unoccupied parked tractor-trailer on the southbound New England Thruway in the Bronx.

Edwin Seixas was taken to Jacobi Medical Center
Police identified the driver who died as Edwin Seixas, 40, of Norwalk, Conn. Medics took him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he could not be saved.
The official record lists a Dodge SUV and a parked diesel tractor-truck
The city crash record identifies Seixas’s vehicle as a 2016 Dodge station wagon or sport utility vehicle traveling south and going straight ahead before the crash. It identifies the other vehicle as a 2018 diesel tractor-truck that was parked and also oriented south.
The Daily News reported that the tractor-trailer was unoccupied after its driver had just been in another collision.
