Driver Fails To Yield, Kills Woman In SoHo Crosswalk

According to the police report, a 54-year-old woman was crossing Spring Street at Crosby Street in Manhattan with the signal when a Jeep SUV driver turned left and hit her with the right front bumper. Police recorded failure to yield right-of-way as the primary factor. The woman suffered fatal head and internal injuries and died at the scene on that Monday morning. The driver remained at the location.
