The official record identifies the person killed as a 24-year-old male bicyclist. Brooklyn Paper identified him as Victor Hidalgo, a Bronx resident and delivery worker, and reported that he is survived by his wife and 1-year-old son in Mexico. The Daily News identified him as Victor Hildago, spelling his surname differently, and also reported that he lived in the Bronx.
