Driver charged with DWI after Castle Hill passenger killed
A driver later charged with DWI hit an Infiniti at Castle Hill Avenue and Randall Avenue in the Bronx, where the city recorded one person killed and two motorists injured.

According to the police report, around 12:49 a.m. on Castle Hill Avenue near Randall Avenue in the Bronx, the 27-year-old male driver of a sedan disregarded a traffic signal and hit a station wagon/SUV head-on. The 27-year-old female front-seat passenger in his car, who was belted, sustained fatal injuries to her entire body. Police recorded “Traffic Control Disregarded” as the contributing factor in the crash.

The crash was recorded at 12:49 a.m. on Nov. 16, 2024, at Castle Hill Avenue and Randall Avenue in the Bronx. The city record lists one person killed and two motorists injured.
The Daily News reported that Dimas Cuadrado, 43, was driving a 2011 Lincoln MKX north on Castle Hill Avenue when he hit a 2017 Infiniti QX60 traveling west on Randall Avenue. After the impact, the Infiniti was pushed northwest before contact with a parked, unoccupied 2018 Honda Pilot, according to the article.
Dorilys Ramos died at Jacobi Medical Center
The city record identifies the person killed as a 27-year-old female passenger in the front seat. The Daily News identified her as Dorilys Ramos, 27, and reported that she lived nearby in Clason Point.
Medics took Ramos and the Infiniti driver to Jacobi Medical Center, where Ramos was pronounced dead, the Daily News reported. The article said the Infiniti driver was in stable condition.
Injury accounts differ on the number hurt
