Pickup Driver Slams Taxi, Kills Elderly Passenger
An pickup driver hit a taxi on the BQE, killing a 75-year-old man riding in back and injuring a child. The driver later said he lost consciousness.
What We Know
According to the police report, a pickup driver going west on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway hit the rear of a taxi, fatally injuring a 75-year-old man seated in the middle rear seat. Police recorded “Lost Consciousness” for the pickup driver and noted he was unlicensed. An 8-year-old girl in the back of the taxi and the taxi driver both sustained non-fatal injuries.
