Ten Parkway Drivers Pile Up, Kill Passenger
Before dawn on Hutchinson River Parkway, ten northbound drivers slid on black ice and crashed. A 45-year-old front-seat passenger died; a 14-year-old girl in back was hurt with back and neck injuries.

According to the police report, ten northbound drivers on Hutchinson River Parkway lost control on black ice overnight and crashed in a chain reaction. Police recorded slippery pavement as the contributing factor. A 45-year-old woman riding in the front passenger seat suffered fatal internal injuries. A 14-year-old girl riding in the right rear seat reported back pain and whiplash injuries.
