Driver Following Too Close Kills Man on Clearview
A 56-year-old man lay in the northbound lanes of the Clearview Expressway. Three drivers going straight hit him on the slick road, crushing his chest and killing him. One driver, also 56, suffered chest crush injuries inside his car.

According to the police report, a 56-year-old man in the northbound lanes of the Clearview Expressway in Queens was hit by three drivers traveling straight ahead and died from chest crush injuries. Another 56-year-old man driving one of the cars suffered serious chest crush injuries. Police recorded following too closely and pavement slippery as contributing factors for both the pedestrian and the injured driver.
