Driver Fails to Yield, Kills Woman in Crosswalk
A driver turned left off 7th Avenue and hit a 70-year-old woman crossing with the light at 44th Street. Police say the driver failed to yield. She went down in the intersection and never got back up.

According to the police report, a 70-year-old woman was crossing 7th Avenue at 44th Street in Brooklyn with the pedestrian signal when a northbound Toyota sedan driver made a left turn and hit her. The impact to her head caused a fracture and other severe injuries. She was unconscious at the scene and died there.
