Unlicensed Rider Killed Passing Taxi on Parkway
An unlicensed 38-year-old rider tried to pass a westbound taxi on Grand Central Parkway and hit its front corner. He flew off the motorcycle onto the roadway and died there. Police recorded driver inexperience and unsafe speed.

According to the police report, a 38-year-old man riding an unlicensed motorcycle westbound on Grand Central Parkway tried to pass a taxi traveling in the same direction. The rider hit the taxi’s right front quarter panel and was ejected onto the roadway. He suffered fatal injuries to his entire body and died at the scene. Police recorded driver inexperience and unsafe speed as contributing factors. The taxi driver was licensed and remained at the location.
