The crash happened at about 6:02 p.m. on May 14, 2025, at Rutland Road and East 95th Street in Brooklyn. The city record says the driver in a sedan was traveling west and making a left turn when Lafleur, a 68-year-old pedestrian, was killed while crossing with the signal at the intersection.
