Driver arrested after fatal Clarendon Road motorcycle crash

A 34-year-old rider died after police said Tony Wallace drove east on Clarendon Road at E. 35th Street and hit Mamadou Oury Diallo just after midnight on July 5.

Mamadou Oury Diallo died at Kings County Hospital

Officers from the 67th Precinct responded after a 911 call, and paramedics took Diallo to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead, amNY reported. The official record lists one motorist killed and no other injuries.

Wallace was arrested after remaining at the scene

Police said Wallace remained at the scene and was taken into custody. amNY reported that police arrested him on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and that the NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad was continuing to investigate.
