Truck Driver’s Lane Trap Kills Young Rider
A 24-year-old motorcyclist changing lanes on the Long Island Expressway hit a tractor-trailer and died. An SUV driver was also caught in the chain of impact. Another young body gone to truck traffic on Queens asphalt.
What We Know
A 24-year-old motorcyclist died after a multivehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway in Queens. According to the police report, the rider was changing lanes westbound when he hit the side of a westbound tractor-trailer, then an SUV. He was ejected and suffered fatal crush injuries to his entire body. Police listed the truck as an oversized vehicle. No other occupants were reported injured in the crash.
