Police flag unsafe speed in parkway death
A 21-year-old motorcyclist crashed on Cross Island Parkway and died after being thrown from his bike. A northbound sedan driver and two parked cars were caught in the chaos as police cited unsafe speed.

A 21-year-old man riding a northbound motorcycle on Cross Island Parkway crashed alongside a northbound sedan on Sept. 4 in the evening. According to the police report, the crash overturned the motorcycle, threw the rider, and killed him. The man driving the northbound sedan reported no injury. Two parked cars were damaged.
